Ugra Narasimha

This is the largest of all idols in Hampi and is about 22ft tall and is carved of a single stone. The idol is said to be built by a Brahmin in 1528 during the Krishna Devaraya period. The idol is also called Ugra Narasimha. Behind the idol is a huge headed snake .
